Spirit Ice Vice lets you make whiskey ice balls and flavored ice balls for your signature cocktails. Just put the ice mold in our ice ball machine, and 60 seconds later you have an ice ball measuring 2.5 inches in diameter. Our device combines performance art, a conversation piece, and a unique way to market your brand all in one. In today’s blog, we discuss ways you can get the most out of your Spirit Ice Vice machine.
Freeze the Molds
Spirit Ice Vice melts ice blocks into spheres of ice that fit neatly into whiskey and cocktail glasses. Pre-make as many ice blocks in advance as you need to, whether you fill them with water, juice, garnishes, or a combination of the three. Fill the included hexagonal silicone molds to about ½ inch of the top of the mold. Freeze the molds overnight.

Water for Ice
Tap water is the easiest and most convenient way to fill each mold. However, Nestle Pure Life bottled water, coupled with directional freezing by placing molds inside a cooler and then in a freezer, creates ice balls with enhanced clarity for Spirit Ice Vice. If you invest in bottled water for your ice balls, bulk bottles are cheaper and fit more neatly into your storage area.
Keep Molds Handy
Once the water freezes, remove the ice blocks from the silicone mold. Use the grooved tongs to grasp the molds and slide the ice out. Put them in a plastic zippered bag and take them to your under-counter freezer at the bar. This keeps ice blocks near your Spirit Ice Vice on the countertop.
Put Warm Water Nearby
The ice ball machine works best when it starts at room temperature, but it cools as it makes each ice ball. Have warm water at the ready, and simply place both pieces of the ice ball maker under warm water and dry them with a soft cloth for best results. Keeping both pieces of Spirit Ice Vice at ambient temperature ensures it will continue to work at optimal levels.

Pre-Make Ice Balls
Pre-making ice balls in our Spirit Ice Vice works well for catering operations and high-volume times. After you make a ball, wipe it off with a cotton towel and place into a zippered bag in the freezer. Drying each ice ball prevents them from sticking to each other. Pre-making eases the strain of busy nights while still adding value and eye appeal, especially if you have custom logo ice molds that imprint your brand on every ice ball.
